Changguang Chenxin Launches Point Laser Displacement CMOS Image Sensor
2026-05-29
May 25, 2026 – Changguang Chenxin (HKEX: 3277) has released the GLR1202BSI-L, a new product in its GLR series. Designed specifically for high-speed point laser displacement sensor applications, this chip features an elongated large pixel architecture, backside illumination (BSI), and high-speed readout circuitry. With high sensitivity and high line rate, it provides an excellent solution for high-precision non-contact displacement measurement in industrial applications.

1000μm Pixel Height Enhances Alignment Accuracy
In scenarios such as industrial automation, precision manufacturing, and new energy inspection, workpiece alignment calibration and high-speed dynamic displacement demand stringent performance in laser capture range, alignment accuracy, and imaging speed. The GLR1202BSI-L adopts an elongated pixel architecture measuring 12.5μm (H) x 1000μm (V) with a resolution of 2000 (H) x 1 (V). This enables wide-range, linearized capture of laser spots, effectively improving alignment tolerance and inspection consistency, making it ideal for precision workpiece positioning and centering calibration across various applications.
Two Modes to Meet Diverse Application Needs
The GLR1202BSI-L supports both high-sensitivity and high-signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) modes, which can be freely switched. In high-sensitivity mode, the chip achieves a readout noise of 215e⁻. In high-SNR mode, it offers a full well capacity of 2Me⁻, a maximum SNR of 63dB, and a dynamic range of 69dB. The combination of both modes enables seamless adaptation to a wide range of applications. Additionally, thanks to advanced backside illumination technology, the chip achieves a peak quantum efficiency of 91% at 440nm.
350kHz Line Rate with Easy-to-Integrate Digital Output
The GLR1202BSI-L integrates a 12-bit ADC and provides digital output via 5 pairs of Sub-LVDS, achieving a line rate of 240kHz at full resolution. The chip also supports 1x2 binning, further increasing the line rate to 350kHz. Moreover, the GLR1202BSI-L can support 1224-pixel output with an active optical area length of just 15.3mm, accommodating different optical size requirements.
The chip comes in a high-reliability CLCC ceramic package with a glass seal coated with dual-side anti-reflection film. The package dimensions are 40mm (X) by 11mm (Y).
