Bourns Introduces New Shielded Power Inductors for High-Current, Ultra-Thin Automotive and DC-DC Designs
2026-07-29
July 24, 2026 – Bourns announced the launch of its SRP2010PA, SRP2510PA, and SRP2512PA series shielded power inductors, designed to support high-current operation in space-constrained electronic designs. Combining metal alloy powder cores with shielded construction, these series effectively reduce magnetic field radiation while maintaining a low-profile package.
As current demands continue to rise in automotive electronics and DC-DC converter circuits, design engineers are simultaneously facing increasingly stringent space and thermal constraints. To reduce EMI, components must feature shielding characteristics, while compact circuit layouts further limit component height. The SRP-PA series is specifically designed to address these requirements, offering high saturation current capability, controlled magnetic field leakage, and an operating temperature range suitable for demanding automotive environments.
"By combining metal alloy powder cores with shielded construction, the SRP-PA series delivers higher current-carrying capacity in low-profile designs without increasing magnetic field radiation," said Yuxuan Liu, Product Line Manager for Magnetic Components at Bourns.
