The World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference 2021 was held in Nanjing

The 2021 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference, co-sponsored by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the China Association for Science and Technology, opened in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, on Dec 8. Xin Guobin, member of the Leading Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attended the conference and addressed.
Xin pointed out that the CPC Central Committee and The State Council attach great importance to the development of intelligent manufacturing.  Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, the development of intelligent manufacturing has made great progress. First, core competence has been enhanced. Breakthroughs in key technologies and equipment and advanced manufacturing processes were accelerated, and the market for intelligent manufacturing equipment exceeded 50%. Second, the application results continued to improve. More than 700 smart factories have been built, and new models and business forms are emerging. Third, the support system has been continuously improved. It has issued more than 300 national standards and led the formulation of more than 40 international standards.
Xin said the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will earnestly implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and The State Council, and continue to promote the high-quality development of intelligent manufacturing. First, we will strengthen innovative applications. We will make breakthroughs in a number of "bottleneck" basic components and devices, develop intelligent manufacturing equipment, improve the supply capacity of industrial software products, carry out multi-scenario, whole-chain and multi-level application demonstrations, and foster and promote new models of intelligent manufacturing. Second, we will improve the working mechanism. We will strengthen coordination with relevant departments, strengthen coordination between the central and local governments, continue to carry out pilot and demonstration actions in combination with "point-to-point, line-to-surface" actions, launch and implement smart manufacturing standards, improve the public service network, and build a high-level work system. Third, deepen international cooperation. We should give full play to existing bilateral and multilateral dialogue mechanisms, actively participate in the work of ISO, IEC, IEEE and other international and regional standardization organizations, and innovate and expand cooperation areas.
With the theme of "Digital Transformation, Intelligence", the conference has set up a series of activities, such as the opening and closing ceremonies, sub-forums, cloud Expo and the first intelligent manufacturing innovation Contest. More than 300 guests from home and abroad participated in the conference offline, and more than 4,000 exhibitors registered for the expo on the cloud, with more than 200 million online page views.
